If You're Convinced That You And Beyonce Don't Have the Same 24 Hours Read This

Now I'll keep it 100. I used to look at other people like how the hell are they getting all of this done? Ain't no way we have the same 24 hours cause I felt like I didn't even have enough time to pay attention.

I learned that it wasn't that they had more hours, it wasn't that it wasn't that they were magical AF and that they were using some sort of sorcery to make shit happen. It was that they were managing their time! They were utilizing their resources. They were outsourcing shit.

You gotta get more done with the time you have available. Evaluate how you’re using your time, both productively and unproductively. Find your weak spots and develop a strategy to improve your behaviors and your approach. The key to productivity is using your time as wisely and efficiently as possible.

  • Learn how you waste time. Even if you’re the best worker at your company, you still waste a lot of time. Determine how you waste time at work and at home. Notice what you do when you’re sick of work, tired, bored, or stressed. Using your time effectively is a key component of becoming more productive.

  • Eliminate distractions. While some people can concentrate with chaos all around them, most of us do best with as few distractions as possible. Control what you can in your environment. The fewer distractions you have, the more you can accomplish.

  • Prioritize your priorities. If you have 10 priorities, you don’t have any priorities at all. Develop a list each evening of your three top priorities for the next day. Do everything you can to accomplish those three things. Avoid wasting time each morning trying to determine how you’ll spend your day. You should already know when you wake up.

  • Spend time on the most effective actions. There’s a difference between being busy and being effective. Imagine you’re having a dinner party and your house is a hot mess. You could be busy cleaning out your bedroom closet, but that’s not accomplishing much in this instance. What sense that make? What that gotta do with the price of tea in China? Ain't nobody gon be in there, ma'am!

  • A more effective action would be to wash those dishes (with Dawn Powerwash cause we ain't got time to be scrubbing, thank me later), vacuum the floor, or straighten up the living room. Spend your time doing the most important things, even if they’re the least enjoyable.

  • Take regular breaks. You might be able to work hard from 8am to noon, but you’ll have nothing left in the afternoon. Studies have shown that taking a 10-minute break each hour greatly increases productivity over a full day. Give yourself an even longer break every few hours. You’ll stay fresh and find your ability to focus is less-compromised later in the day.

  • Develop a morning routine. The most successful people are the most productive. And the most successful people also have a morning routine. Get out of bed early and get your day started productively. Have a good breakfast, exercise, meditate, or do whatever else will get you ready for the day.

  • Choose the best time for each activity in your life. Do you buy groceries at the most convenient time, or do you go when everyone else is at the store? You could save a lot of time by going after 7pm in the middle of the week or early on Sunday morning.

Now, moving along... are you valuing other people's time? Cause it ain't always about you.

Ain't no time like the present.

When you're early, you're on time. When you're on time, you're late. Be early! Being late can irritate your boss, bae, friends, and family. It can also create stress. It’s not hard, you gotta just stop waiting until the last possible minute. When you wait as long as possible, everything has to go perfectly in order for you to be early. When baby listen, I know days typically go a little something like...

● Decide that you’re going to be early for EVERYTHING! Whether you’re meeting someone for dinner, arriving for that work Zoom chat, completing a project for school, or doing a task at home you promised to do.

● There are many benefits to being early besides the obvious. People will trust and respect you more. They will also treat you better. When people have to wait for you, you’re telling them that you don’t respect their time. So if you're feeling like...

You gotta understand...

You got this!
